AMANDA Pet Resort Manager
Amanda & "Josie"
As Avondale Pet Resort Manager, Amanda oversees daily operations of the Pet Resort and also supervises our three groomers. Amanda began her employment with Avondale when she was only 14 years old working as a kennel assistant. Eventually she was cross-trained to work at the Pet Resort front desk as well as the Cat Hospital front desk. She fully understands the Pet Resort from the ground floor up.
When Amanda was in 4th grade at the Carlisle Community Schools, her class toured Avondale and it was then she knew that when she "grew up" she wanted to work at Avondale where she could be around animals. She has a female yellow lab mix whose named Tess who she found as a puppy in a ditch. She also has a female Siamese cat, Fiona, who is quite the princess! When not at work Amanda enjoys detailing cars and, of course, shopping! During the summer months she spends as much time as she can at the lake.
JANNÉ Client Care Specialist
Janné is one of the Client Care Specialists at the Avondale Pet Resort. She has been employed at Avondale since 2003. Janné has a Maltese, "Bailey", who is 5 years old. Her favorite past time activities include painting, horseback riding and traveling to the East Coast.
SARAH Pet Resort Caretaker
Sarah cleans the kennels at Avondale including the Pet Resort Suites and dorm rooms. She walks, feeds and waters the animals and also fills in as a receptionist when needed. Sarah has been employed at Avondale since 2002. She has a Lab mix named "Candy" and "Harley", who is a German Shepherd mix. She enjoys racing and hanging out with her friends in her free time. Sarah plans to go to college in the future.
BRYAN Pet Resort Caretaker
Bryan has been employed at Avondale for 4 months. He works at our Pet Resort and is responsible for animal care. Bryan feeds, waters, walks and cares for the animals that are boarded at our Pet Resort.
He has two cats, "Jasmine" and "Kodi"; a yellow lab, "Dweezil"; a rat terrier, "Sarah" and a Maltese, "Ariel". In his free time, Bryan enjoys bowling and watching football.
ALLISON, Pet Resort Caretaker
Allison works at the Avondale Pet Resort as a part-time groomer in the Avondale Grooming department and as a part-time receptionist at the Pet Resort front desk. She joined the Avondale Pet Resort the summer of 2007.
Allison has a Lhasa X, named Bridgett. When not working, she loves spending time with her husband, Justin. Her hobbies include sewing, gardening and baking.
NICK, Pet Resort Caretaker
Nick is one of our Pet Resort animal caregivers. He walks the dogs that are visiting at the Pet Resort, feeds them and makes sure their water bowls are full.
He's been with the Avondale Pet Resort since the spring of 2007. He has two dogs of his own at home. In his spare time he enjoys bowling, golfing and playing football for Carlisle High School.
ASHLEY, Pet Resort Caretaker
Halloween of 2007, Ashley began her employment at Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex. Her main responsibilities are at the Avondale Pet Resort where she is one of the care givers for the animals that are boarding with us. She also assists at the front desk when needed. When not working at Avondale, she enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, and playing with her animals - Rocky, a Golden Retriever; Bullwinkle, a domestic shorthaired kitten and a Guinea pig.
AMY, Pet Resort Caretaker
Amy has been with the Avondale Pet Resort since the summer of 2007. She is one of the animal care givers and makes sure that all of the dogs and cats have their every need met. She has a Guinea pig named Mo Hawk and in her free time enjoys shopping, watching sports and hanging with friends.
NATE, Pet Resort Caretaker
Nate is one of the care givers for the Avondale Pet Resort. His responsibilities include total care of the dogs and cats that are visiting the Avondale Pet Resort. He has been with the Pet Resort since November of 2007. He makes sure all the animals visiting the Avondale Pet Resort are fed, exercised, played with, given any prescribed medications they may need, and, in general, receive excellence in care and attention.
His busy schedule, when not working, includes playing football, soccer, riding his dirt bike, working with equestrian veterinarian, Dr. Radechel, riding and showing his Arabian horse, Ultimatum VF, deer hunting and spending time with his family and dog, Jordan.
LAUREN, Pet Resort Caretaker
Lauren is one of the animal caregivers at the Pet Resort. Her job involves making sure the animals are fed, their water bowls are kept full, medications are given as needed, taking them on long walks and making sure they all get the special attention they want.
She has been with the Pet
Resort since winter of 2008. She has a cat named Gracie and when she is not
working she loves spending time with family and friends. When possible she
loves going to the beach in North Carolina. Lauren states, "taking care of each
animal does not ever feel like a job to me, rather one of the highlights of my
day".
HANNAH, Pet Resort Caretaker
Hannah enjoys her job as animal caregiver at the Avondale Pet Resort. She makes sure each dog or cat has a clean environment when they stay with us, provides for their daily food and water needs, takes the dogs on walks and plays with the cats.
She has worked at Avondale
since March 2008. She has a dog, Gracie, who is a Rat Terrier and a cat,
Oliver. In her free time she loves listening to music.
JEANELLE, Pet Resort Caretaker
Jeanelle joined the Pet Resort in March 2008. Her job as animal caregiver includes playing with the animals, walking them and make sure they have enough food and water and their suite or dorm room or condo is kept clean.
She has 3 dogs, Sunny,
Harley and Sierra; 4 cats, Lilly, Crickett, Indie and Romeo and a Lizard,
Tweak. When not at work, she likes to hang with family and friends and play
with her animals.
