Meet Our Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants

CINNAMON, Certified Veterinary Technician; Veterinary Staff Supervisor

Cinnamon, RVT - Cinnamon is a certified veterinary technician that supervises the technician staff at Avondale. She has been employed by Avondale since 2004 and enjoys providing care to the animals at Avondale. 

Cinnamon has 2 cats, Rascal and Friday.  In her free time she loves spending time with her daughter, boating and reading.

ANGELLA, Veterinary Technician; 

Certified Laser Therapist; Nutrition Counselor

Angella has been employed at Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since the summer of 1993.  She is certified by the Canine Rehabilitation Institute as a  laser therapist, and is also a nutrition counselor. 

When not working, her favorite activities include spending time with her husband, Tim, and their two boys, Jack & Benjamin.  They also spend time golfing and sky diving.  She has one dog, "Maggie", a Lab.

NANCY, Veterinary Assistant

Nancy is a veterinary assistant for Avondale.  She assists the veterinary technicians and doctors with animal care and treatment and does all the laundry for the complex!  

She has been employed with Avondale for 23 years. She has one cat - "Ozzy".  In her free time she loves spending time with her grandchildren and shopping.

LUCINDA, Veterinary Technician

Lucinda is one of Avondale's veterinary technicians.  She works mainly at the Avondale Cat Hospital.  Lucinda has been with Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since the summer of 2007.  Lucinda loves spending time with her husband and her two dogs, "Michelob", who is a Beagle,  "Toby", who is a Terrier/Sheltie mix, and her 3 cats, "Morris", "Macchiato" and "Latte".  Her favorite hobbies are drawing and painting.

LISA, Veterinary Technician

Lisa has been employed as a veterinary technician with Avondale since the spring of 2008.  She has 3 Chow-Chows, Tresoe, Tiffany and Mona; 2 cats Mufsa and Scruffy and 1 rabbit, Stuart Little. 

Aside from spending time with her husband, Ron, her passion is dog shows!  Dog shows!  Dog shows! Along the way you will also find her at a hockey game or shopping.
 

Tiffany is a Registered Veterinary Technician with Avondale.  Her duties include assisting the doctors with animal care as well as helping with the medications and treatments.  She has been with Avondale Animal Hospital since the beginning of 2010.  She has a Golden Retriever, Koby, who loves to play fetch with his Kong toy; an orange tabby cat, Sawyer, who loves to annoy Koby!  In her free time she loves to read - sometimes reading 4-5 books at a time - playing instruments, learning to play new instruments, conducting research on various subjects and baking.  Her special interests include animal behavior training.

JAMI, Registered Veterinary Technician

Jami is a Certified/Registered veterinary technician that joined Avondale in the spring of 2010.  Her duties include assisting the veterinarians in the care of the animals, assisting in surgery and in laboratory procedures.  Jami has a Baloo, "Devon Rex".  She is originally from Colorado and she and her husband enjoy raising miniature Herefords and hiking.

MANDY, Veterinary Technician
 
Mandy is a veterinary technician who has a special interest in pet dentistry.  She has been with Avondale Animal Hospital since the winter

of 2011.  Mandy has a Basenji named "Zeppelin" and a Persian named "Charmin".  When not working, she enjoys softball, shopping and attending courses dealing with veterinary medicine.  Mandy keeps busy caring for her son, Hansen. 

SHERRY, Animal Caregiver/Veterinary Assistant

Sherry is one of the Animal Caregivers at the Avondale Pet Resort.  She spends most of her time at the Pet Resort playing with the dogs in Doggie Daycare, which she loves!  She began her employment with the Avondale Pet Resort in the fall of 2010.  Sherry has two dogs and three horses.  Her dogs are "Mowgli" who is a Welsh Corgi/Pekingese mix and "Lady", who is a Pekingese.  Her horses are "Cat", a Palomino mare, "Duncan" a Thoroughbred gelding and "Kash", an Egyptian Arabian that she adopted from a rescue.

JESSICA, Veterinary Technician

Jessica has been with Avondale Animal Hospital since the summer of

2011.  Her duties include assisting the veterinarians in the care of

the animals being seen at Avondale Animal Hospital or Avondale Cat

Hospital.  Jessica assists in animal wellness treatments, surgery, laser

pain therapy, rehabilitation therapy including the underwater treadmill and land treadmill, and stem cell therapy.  

Jessica has three cats, "Cricket", "Cookie" and "Polly", as well as two dogs, "Phoebe" and "Fred".  In her free time she enjoys seeing movies, reading books, knitting, cookouts in the summer and pet sitting for friends and family.

LYDIA, Veterinary Assistant

Lydia has been employed as a veterinary assistant since the summer of 2011.  Her duties include assisting the doctors with appointments, in surgery, in dentistry, and in the overall care of the animals that are seen at Avondale. 

Because Lydia is living where they don't allow any pets, she particularly loves working at Avondale where she can spoil all the animals here.  Her free time right now involves a lot of school work as she is studying to become a certified veterinary technician.

MAKENNA, Veterinary Assistant

Makenna has been with Avondale since the summer of 2011.  As a

veterinary assistant, she assists with dentals, surgeries as well as

general care of the animals seen at Avondale Animal Hospital and

Avondale Cat Hospital.  Makenna has two Cocker Spaniels, "Lucy" and

"Buddy"; Australian Tree Frogs, "Leon" and "Todd", and a Lizard,

"Anole".  In her free time she loves being outside, hanging out with

friends and family, swimming, drawing and music.

KELSEY, Certified Veterinary Technician

Kelsey is one of Avondale's Certified Veterinary Technicians.  She has

special interest in dentistry, laser pain control and rehabilitation

therapy.  Her love of animals shows in everything that she does.

Kelsey has been with Avondale since the fall of 2011.  In her free

time she likes to watch movies, go fishing, go for long walks, play

volleyball or softball, go shopping, any kind of outdoor activity or

just hang out with family and friends.

LEXIE, Veterinary Technician

Lexie is one of Avondale's veterinary technicians.  Her duties include

assisting the veterinarian with surgical procedures or general care of

the pets they see in the clinic.  She has been with Avondale since the

fall of 2011.  She has a Border Collie, "Wylie" and her time outside

of the clinic is spent horseback trail riding, camping, boating, or

just spending time with family, friends and animals.

ALIDA, Veterinary Technician

Alida has been with Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex since the

fall of 2011 and is a veterinary technician.  She enjoys assisting the doctors in their treatments as well as in surgery.  Alida has three dogs of her own: "Honey", a Mini-Dachshund; "Luna", a Mini-Dachshund; and "June", an American Staff Terrier. 

In any free time that she has, Alida enjoys playing with her dogs, doing her school work, and anything else that is relaxing.
